u 2008-2009 "LEARN to ROW" Days
Please CLICK HERE to send an email requesting dates and times of our next Learn to Row days. These classes fill up fast! Each of these FREE session is roughly 2.5 hours and you will learn the basics on land, and then go out in a boat with other experienced oarsman for a fun row. These are a wonderful oppertunitiy to give rowing a try, and get out in a boat with some friends. We offer both Junior and Adult classes, so please be sure to sign up for the correct one.
uu 2008-2009 NOVICE BOYS / NOVICE GIRLS Year-Round Teams
The Novice Teams starts in September and are for people in their first year of rowing. We have both Fall training and racing, plus Spring training and racing. While it is not required, it can be beneficial if the student has taken one of the summer camps or a series of private sculling lessons prior to entering in the Fall. The program focuses on team-building exercises, general fitness development and learning the technique to row together as a crew. We travel to both local and regional races in California with the Championship Regatta being held up in Sacramento at the end of the year.
u 2008-2009 VARSITY BOYS / VARSITY GIRLS Year-Round Teams
Once you have completed your novice year, athletes are moved up to the Varsity.Squad. This program is for experienced athletes and the focus is on creating a winning environment with positive interaction and a focus on continually improving boat speed. Depending on the size of the team from year to year, we try to race a Varsity Openweight eight person boat, a Junior Varsity eight person boat, a Varsity Lightweight eight as well as other racing small boats.
u Private Lessons
Our instructors can take you out for a "one-on-one" lesson for personalized attention and training. Private lessons are an excellent way to quickly get ramped up and receive the extra coaching that can get you to that next level. Lessons are $50 per hour and need to be scheduled in advance with one of our instructors. You can do up to three people in a group... bring a friend and learn together!
u 2009 Summer CAMPS
Get ready to go from "Zero to 60" in two weeks! Our summer camps are jam packed and a great way to get ramped up and see if you like the sport. We encourage kids who are looking to row next year to take the summer classes to get a head start. Schedules for summer '09 classes will be posted mid-spring of 2009.
