Rowing for Younger Teens
Learning the basics & having fun
This program is open to kids currently in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades living in the Ventura County region, regardless of which school they are attending. We also have several homeschool students in our programs.
The team trains once per week on Saturday mornings at 8:30am – 10:45am, at the same time as the supportive and encouraging High School Team. The middle school program has its own coach and the emphasis is on sculling basics, safety, and boat handling. This team does not attend competitions. Coaching emphasizes fun, fitness and developing confidence.
Novice rowers can enter the program either at the beginning of the Fall or Spring semesters. Practice continues throughout the school year. Kids will be able to participate in the club Camp & Row events as well as the Club Regattas at Lake Casitas.
To get started CALL 805-642-2288 or email wendy@casitasrowing.org.
This program graciously supported by the LA84 Foundation.
